Awake

Okay, so it's not technically "horror"... though, some might argue that point. AWAKE is a new series (only 2 episodes released) about a detective who, while driving home with his family one night, gets in a horrific car crash. Here's where things get weird: after the crash, he loses the ability to tell whether he's asleep or awake. In one life, only his wife survived the crash -- however, in the other life, it is his son who survived. Both worlds are connected, and while it is impossible for him to ever know which is the true reality, he has no intention of giving up either or ever coming to the realization of which is which.

It's interested as well, since the cases he takes on as a detective are always somehow linked from one world to the other, and many times insights or clues that he uncovers in the one life will carry over and help him to solve a case in the other life. It sounds gimmicky, but it works. And personally, I've enjoyed both episodes tremendously.

While my original fear was that the plot could become old reeeeeally quickly, they've managed to toss in a couple of curveballs that I'm looking forward to see resolved. And provided they maintain fresh material and keep the series spinning in new directions, I can see it doing extremely well.

Has anyone seen this?

I saw a commercial for this a week or two ago and thought that it was a really interesting concept for a show. I'm glad to hear that it's good so far. I'll be sure to check it out now that I can be sure that it won't be a waste of my time.

Jason Isaacs is awesome in this role.

I agree about it becoming stale quickly, but I hope it doesn't; it's refreshing to see actual intelligent writing on basic cable for a change.
