both of them were in my teens... one of them in an abandoned house that my grandparents owned, I was with four other friends and we went there exclusively to play with the board, no drugs or alcohol were consumed previously.

After what seemed to be several hours of just having fun and playing around, this thing warmed up and we started hearing noises on the roof, as in chains being dragged around and other miscellaneous noises that could only fit in a movie. There is no further explanation and I seriously don't really want to know much about it.

Second one was even worse, as we decided to take the board to open ground, to my friend's countryside farm. This time THE BOARD ITSELF didn't let me play and it burnt my fingertips as I touched the planchette. However nothing strange happened after my friends played with it.

I know this stuff sounds unbelievable, but at least it felt real to me. I believe in things like good and bad energy, but up to this point, this is some of the most strage things I have ever experienced in my life.

Wow, those both sound like really intense experiences! Back in high school I had a friend who was playing with one and the board told her that her estranged, mentally ill father was going to murder her. It never came to be true, however the fear made her life hell for quite some time. I haven't played with one since.

I'm not sure what started me out, I've always just gravitated towards darker things.  When I was very young, probably 6 or 7, I had a book by Alan Ormsby (Children Shouldn't Play With Dead Things, Popcorn)  called "Movie Monsters: Monster Make-Up & Monster shows to put on" that I loved to read and look at the pictures of the Universal classic monsters.  Sundays at my grandparents' house helped, they had cable so I got to see Godzilla movies all the time.  Some relatives bought me a copy of Night of the Living Dead when I turned 9 and that was it.
